There are so many designs and plans to choose from when building a work table, that we really recommend you to pay attention to the other projects that are featured on our website. Work with good judgement and invest in high-quality materials, if you want to get the job done in a professional manner. Cedar, pine or redwood are excellent choices, but you can also use cheaper wood, such as pressure-treated lumber.

Take accurate measurements and adjust the components at the right size, by using a circular saw. Plumb the legs with a spirit level and check if the frame is horizontal. In addition, it is essential to make sure the corners are right-angled before installing each component into place. Pre-drill the components before inserting the screws, to prevent the wood from splitting. See all my Premium Plans in the Shop.
