This step by step woodworking project is about free playhouse railings plans. This is PART 3 of the outdoor playhouse project, where I show you how to build the railings and how to fit the decorative trims around the window and door openings. You can get creative and add your personal touch to the playhouse.  See my other DIY projects HERE.
We recommend you to invest in the best materials you could afford. Therefore, you should buy weather-resistant lumber, such as pine or cedar. Always take accurate measurements before adjusting the size of the components at the proper size. Drill pilot holes trough the components before inserting the wood screws, to prevent the wood from splitting. See all my Premium Plans in the Shop.

How to build railings for the playhouse with porch
Fit the 1×3 trims around the window openings. You could also fit small windows, or you can leave them open. Use 1 1/2″ brad nails to secure the trims into place.
Fit the 1×3 trims around the door opening, as well. Align the edges flush and insert 1 1/2″ brad nails, so you can lock them into place tightly.
Use 2×2 lumber for the side railings. Cut the components from 2×2 lumber. Drill pilot holes through the top and bottom rails and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the balusters. Afterwards, secure the panels into place with 2 1/2″ screws.
Proceed in the same manner for the front of the playhouse porch. You can adjust the distance between the balusters to suit your needs.
Take a look over PART 2 of the project, so you learn how to build the roof for the playhouse with porch. Take a look over PART 1 of the playhouse, so you learn how to build the frame of the playhouse. See all my Playhouse Plans, as well, as I have lots of designs that come in many sizes.
