This step by step diy woodworking project is about how to build a simple wood shed. If you want to learn more about how to build a nice wood shed, we recommend you to pay attention to the instructions described in the article. Work with attention and invest in weather-resistant lumber, as the shed structure will be exposed to rain and other harsh weather conditions.
If you want to get the job done in a professional manner, we recommend you to plan everything from the very beginning and to ask a fried to give you a hand. There are many other wood shed plans to choose from, so make sure you take a look over the related projects before starting the actual assembly process. Adjust the design and the size of the wood shed to your needs and budget.
Although this wood shed doesn’t have a roof and it won’t offer full protection for the firewood, it will keep the expenditures at a very low level, so almost any person can get the job done in just one weekend with little effort. Select the pressure-treated lumber with attention, making sure the components are perfectly straight and in a very good visual condition (no cracks, knots or bows). Building a wood shed
Â
The first step of the woodworking project is to build the base of the wood shed. Therefore, lay several pieces of 2×4 lumber on a level surface and attach the 2×4 decking, making sure you keep them equally-spaced. Drill pilot holes before inserting the galvanized screws into place, in order to prevent the wood from splitting.
Â
Â
Continue installing the decking boards until you have covered the whole surface. In this manner the air cam circulate and keep the firewood dry.
Â
Â
Continue the woodworking project by attaching the walls to both sides of the structure. Plumb the 2×4 legs with a spirit level and secure them to the frame with galvanized screws. Next, attach the horizontal rails with galvanized screws, making sure you keep them equally-spaced.
Â
Â
Attaching the back of the shed is the next step of the project, so make sure you tackle everything with great care. Attach the horizontal slats to the legs with screws and fit the back support, after making sure it is perfectly plumb.
Â
Â
Last but not least, we recommend you to take care of the finishing touches. Fill the holes with wood filler and let it to dry out for several hours. Afterwards, smooth the wooden surface with fine-grit sandpaper and vacuum the residues.

This is not a shed you ducking idiot
Which part of “Simple Wood Shed” don’t you understand?
This is a platform w/ railing, not a shed.
Look up the definition of a shed Jack.
You may call it platform with railing, I call it simple wood shed. You put a tarp over the firewood and you get a construction worth of its dictionary definition.
