This step by step woodworking project is about big green egg xl table plans. I have designed this wood table so it can accommodate a xl big green egg. The table has a sturdy frame and it features caster wheels, so you can move it easily on your backyard patio. The best part about of this design s that you can adjust the size of the hole in the tabletop to suit your big green egg. See my other DIY projects HERE.
We recommend you to invest in the best materials you could afford. Therefore, you should buy weather-resistant lumber, such as pine or cedar. Always take accurate measurements before adjusting the size of the components at the proper size. Drill pilot holes trough the components before inserting the wood screws, to prevent the wood from splitting. See all my Premium Plans in the Shop.

How to build a Big Green Egg XL Table
The first step of the project is to build the sides for the big green egg table. Cut the components from 2×4 lumber and lock everything together with 2 1/2″ screws. Add glue to the joints and align everything with attention.
Continue the project by assembling the frame of the big green table. Cut the stretcher from 2×4 lumber. Center the stretcher to the sides of the table, drill pilot holes through the braces and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the stretcher. Add glue to the joints and make sure the corners are square.
Continue the project by attaching the 1×6 slats into place. Fit a piece of 1/4″ plywood between the 1×6 slats. Drill pilot holes and secure the slats into place with 1 1/4″ screws.
Build the frame for the tabletop from 2×4 lumber for the 28 1/2″ long components and 1×6 lumber for the 58″ long components.
Build the rest of the supports from 2×4 lumber. Cut both ends at 45 degrees and secure them into place with 2 1/2″ screws. Drill pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting.
Lay the 1×4 slats on a level surface, making sure you leave about 1/16″ between them. Drill pilot holes and insert 2″ screws to lock them into place.
Alternatively, you can secure the slats into place with screws from the top. Mark the center of the circle and then mark the cut lines with a pencil and string. Ise a jigsaw to get the job done. Smooth the edges with a sander.
Attach caster wheels to the legs of the table, as shown in the diagram.
Fill the holes with wood putty and then smooth the surface with 120-220 grit sandpaper. Apply a few coats of stain or paint to enhance the look of the table.
This is a nice table for your xl big green egg. You can adjust the size of the project easily so it suits your needs and tastes.  If you like my project, don’t forget to SHARE it on Facebook and Pinterest.

I am thinking about building a 3 cornered table for my large green egg, any thoughts or plans?
That would look great. Unfortunately, I can’t help you with plans for the time being.
Good morning,
I’m building the Big Green Egg XL table. The plans call for 4-19 3/4 braces. But I didn’t see where they go. Can you provide guidance?
Thanks!
