This step by step woodworking project is about rain barrel stand plans. I have designed this sturdy stand so you can have a barrel for collecting rain water. Remember that you need to adjust the height and the size of the top to suit your needs. My plans come with step by step instructions and you can easily adjust all the dimensions to suit your needs. See my other DIY projects HERE.

We recommend you to invest in the best materials you could afford. Therefore, you should buy weather-resistant lumber, such as pine or cedar. Always take accurate measurements before adjusting the size of the components at the proper size. Drill pilot holes trough the components before inserting the wood screws, to prevent the wood from splitting. See all my Premium Plans in the Shop.

Smooth the edges with sandpaper and fill the gaps with wood putty. After evening out the surface, you need to apply a few coats of stain or paint to protect the components from the elements.

In your material list it doesn’t say how many 8′ pieces of 4×4 you need.
