Building the side components

The first step of the woodworking project is to build the sides of the charging station. Mark the cut lines on a piece of 3/4″ plywood and get the job done by using a jigsaw. Smooth the edges with fine-grit sandpaper and remove the residues with a damp cloth.

Build the shelves out of 3/4″ plywood. Cut the components t the right size and drill pocket holes along the side and back edges. Fit the shelves between the side components, align the edges, make sure the corners are square and insert 1 1/4″ screws. Add glue to the joints for a durable bond. Alternatively, you could drill pilot holes through the sides and insert 1 5/8″ screws into the shelves.
