DIY 5×5 Deer Blind

Thanks for the plans. I made some slight changes such as an elevated platform that required some different planning and steps. I built all the pieces then transported and assembled in the bush with ladders etc. I didn’t have equipment to raise it so I had to consider process and weight Its all 2×2 framing except the platform is 2×6 rim and 2×4 joists with 3/4 floor.

I used wood siding for weight instead of ac2 so I have to paint still. I added 2 more the rafters for load and enlarged the windows to 14.5″s tall to be more bow friendly. I also opted to have the blinds tilt in and painted black to match inside walls to cammo them open or closed. I used traditional shingle roof for cost and sound.

My coat is tough because I used some things I had already but It’s around $600 in total with hardware. My time was a few days in all because of the height and location challenges. The next one will be faster! Thanks again!
