2×4 Garden Bench – DIY Project

2×4 Garden Bench – DIY Project

 

Followed the 2×4 bench plans. Made a few mods. Changed the seat and back slats to 1×3 so it looked a little less bulky. Closed the slat gaps a little more. Used a lot of pocket screws and button heads to hide the screws. Add a 1×2 trim strip on the back to hide the lower slat screws. Left the pockets open on the back as an additional “architectural feature”. Pleased with the results. First time I ever built anything like this. Learned a lot. Got long list of do’s and don’ts.
