Plant stand plans
Â
The first step of the project is to build the frame of the plant stand. Cut both ends of the legs at the right angle, by using the information described in the diagram. Lock the legs together by drilling pilot holes and inserting several 2 1/2″ galvanized screws. Add glue to the joints in order to create rigid joints.
Â
Â
The next step of the woodworking project is to build the supports and to lock them to the sides of the plant stand. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the supports and lock them into place with 2 1/2″ galvanized screws. Make sure the corners are right-angled before inserting the screws and add glue to the joints.
Â
Â
One of the last steps of the garden project is to attach the 1×4 slats to the supports. Drill pilot holes through the slats and secure them to the supports with 1 1/4″ screws. Leave no gaps between slats and add glue to create rigid joints.
Â
Â
Last but not least, we recommend you to take care of the finishing touches. Fill the holes with wood filler and let it to dry out for several hours. Afterwards, smooth the wooden surface with fine-grit sandpaper and vacuum the residues.
