DIY A Frame Wood Swing Stand

I strongly encourage you to send photos with your projects built using my plans. Please send the materials at [email protected] or using the contact form. Any submission is highly appreciated by me and by the rest of the readers. In addition, your projects will be seen all around the world, so you can point out your skills. Don’t forget to mention the cost of the materials, the total time of the project as well as a few impressions about the build.

I successfully built this a frame over the weekend built almost identical to specs here. I did, however, decide to cut the beams at 84″ as I did not plan to concrete them into the ground. I have no issues with the stability of this frame by being placed on top of the soil.

Total time of build: about 6 hours

Here is my shopping list to complete the A-Frame:

(6) 4x4x8

(1) 4x4x10

Box of 3.5in screws

12 5in 1/2in galvanized screws

(2) eye hooks

(6) chain hooks

20 ft of Chain
