6 ft Farmhouse Table – DIY Project

I used 2x4s in place of 4x4s and 4x6s. I doubled them up and screwed them together to make 4x4s so the wood would match. The only 4x4s I located were treated and I did not need them. Lowes now carries a 5/8” x 6” x 8’ pre-stained tongue and groove board I used for the top in place of the heavier 2×8 option. It took 7 boards to cover from side to side and they are plenty sturdy.
