Built this right handed shooting bench using the plans on this website. The only change was that I used 1×12’s for the surface instead of plywood in order to keep the cost (and weight!) down. This also allows for a little overhang where your elbow rests. If opting to go this route, you will need 10′ of 1×12, and a 48″ 1×3, as 3 1×12’s are 2 3/4″ shy of covering the entire surface area. Cut two pieces of 1×12 to 31.5″, and one to 48″ Total cost was around $35.. would have been closer to $70 had I used 3/4″ plywood. Thank you for the plans, they were perfect!
