  • A – 1 pieces of 2×6 lumber – 45″ long SUPPORT
  • B – 4 pieces of 2×6 lumber – 50 1/2″ long JOISTS
  • D – 9 pieces of 2×6 lumber – 45″ long SLATS
  • E – 2 pieces of 2×4 lumber – 13″ long, 1 piece of 2×6 lumber – 13″ long BLOCKINGS

  • 7 pieces of 2×6 lumber – 10 ft
  • 1 piece of 2×4 lumber – 3 ft
  • 2 1/2 screws

The first step of the woodworking project is to attach the support to the exterior of the frame, as shown in the plans. Cut the support at the right size and secure it into place with galvanized screws. Make sure the support is horizontal before securing it with screws.

Building the joists for the shed ramp is a straight forward process if you take accurate measurements and use the right saw. Smooth the edges after making the cuts and make sure you build all the joists in the same manner.

After building the joists, we recommend you to attach them to the support. In order to create rigid joints, we recommend you to use galvanized hangers. It is essential to align the components with attention and to place them equally-spaced, if you want to get the job done in a professional manner.

Build the blocking and secure them between the joists, if you want to get the job done in a professional manner. Drill pilot holes through the joists and secure 2 1/2″ galvanized screws into the blockings. Work with attention if you want to get a professional result.

Attaching the 2×6 decking to the supports is a straight-forward process, but you need to work with attention. Start fitting the decking slats from the top of the joists and move to the bottom. Drill pilot holes through the slats before inserting the screws, in order to prevent the wood from splitting. Keep the slats equally-spaced, by placing a nail between them.

Last but not least, we recommend you to take care of the finishing touches. Fill the holes with wood filler and let it to dry out for several hours. Afterwards, smooth the wooden surface with fine-grit sandpaper and vacuum the residues.
