The front and back doors help you and your dog have an easy access to the shelter. The plans come with step by step instructions and you can easily adjust all the dimensions to suit your needs. We recommend you to invest in the best materials you could afford. Therefore, you should buy weather-resistant lumber, such as pine or cedar. Always take accurate measurements before adjusting the size of the components at the proper size. How to build a duck blind roof

Materials
- E – 2 pieces of 3/4″ plywood – 48″x49 1/2″ long WALLS
- F – 2 pieces of 2×4 lumber – 96″ long, 4 pieces – 10 3/4″ long FRAME
- G – 1 piece of 3/4″ plywood – 18″x96″ ROOF
- H – 2 pieces of 2×2 lumber – 30″ long, 3 pieces – 42″ long, 1 piece of 3/4″ plywood – 45″x30″ long BACK DOOR
- I – 2 pieces of 2×2 lumber – 14 1/4″ long, 2 pieces – 21″ long, 1 piece of 3/4″ plywood – 24″x14 1/4″ long FRONT WALL
- 3 pieces of 2×4 lumber – 8′
- 4 pieces of 2×2 lumber – 8′
- 2 pieces of 3/4″ plywood – 4’x8′
- 2 1/2″ screws, 1 1/4″ screws

Building a duck blind roof
Roof-frame
Start the PART 2 of the project by assembling the roof frame. Cut the components from 2×4 lumber. Drill pilot holes through the 96″ long components and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the perpendicular components.
Attaching-the-roof-frame
Attach the frame to the top of the back wall. Drill pilot holes through the frame and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the frame, after aligning the edges.
Fitting-the-roof
Attach a piece of 3/4″ plywood over the frame and secure it into place with 1 1/4″ screws.
Attaching-the-side-panels
Attach the 3/4″ plywood to the sides of the duck blinds.
Fitting-the-roof-support
Install a 2×4 vertically, that will support the roof frame.
Building-the-front-door
Build the front door from 2×2 lumber and from 3/4″ plywood. Use 2 1/2″ screws for the door frame and 3/4″ plywood for the door panel. Assemble everything together, making sure the corners are square.
Building-the-back-door
Build the back door in the same manner described above.
Fitting-the-back-door
Hang the back door to the back wall. Use hinges and a latch so you can secure the door into place tightly.
Fitting-the-front-door
Hang the front door to the front of the duck blind. Use hinges and a latch so you can secure it into place tightly.
Duck-blind-plans
This duck blind is compact enough so you can build it almost anywhere. Make sure you apply a few coats of camouflage paint over the components so you can protect the components from decay and to disguise it.
